Privacy policy

Who we are

Famill Property Limited ("we") decides how your personal data is used. That makes us the "controller" under UK data protection law. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), number ZC045864.

What we collect

• What you tell us in our forms. Landlords: your name, phone, email, postcode and details about your house. Care providers: your name, organisation, phone, email, the areas you need homes in and your brief.
• What you tell us on calls, WhatsApp and email. Notes of what we discuss, so we don't ask you twice.
• Basic technical data. Your browser sends your IP address to our website host and to Google Fonts when the page loads. We don't use it to identify you.

We never ask for anything about the health or care needs of the people a provider supports. Please don't send it.

How we use it, and why we're allowed to

• To reply to you, send your rent figure or find homes to your brief. You asked us to, so this is a step before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
• To keep records of our deals. The law requires some records, including anti-money laundering checks when a deal goes ahead.
• To send you news or offers. Only if you have said yes. You can say no at any time.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share it only when we need to:

• ClickUp, where we keep enquiries and deal notes
• Vercel, which hosts this website and counts visits without cookies
• Google Fonts, which sends the website's fonts to your browser
• Our email and phone providers, so we can talk to you
• A landlord or care provider, only when we're working on a match with you, and you will know about it
• Our solicitors and accountants, when a deal needs them
• Regulators or the police, only when the law requires it

Sending data outside the UK

ClickUp and Vercel are US companies. When your data leaves the UK, we use the safeguards UK law requires. These include the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

• An enquiry that doesn't lead to a deal: up to 24 months from when we last spoke
• Deal records and the messages about them: at least 6 years after the deal ends
• Anti-money laundering records: at least 5 years after the business relationship ends
• Marketing: until you say no, then we keep your details on a "don't contact" list

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the data we hold about you
• correct it
• delete it, where the law allows
• limit how we use it
• give it to you in a format you can move
• stop using it for marketing, or for our legitimate interests

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
